This film not only captures 80 years of great, but it also creates a comedy that has the same spirit as the comedy that would come out in 80 years. This serene, and just as dazed and confused, it is not based on the story, but after these characters joy in my life every day (or in this case, the first couple of days to start college classes). Jokes are not compelling, and you just feel dizzy constantly throughout the film, because you feel like they really enjoyed themselves – and the presentation so the audience. Dresses gay (male crop tops and short shorts), but still feel authentic to the time and characters. The film features many stars in the making, and thus, you care more about the characters, not the big names of the actor. Linklater does it again capture the human spirit, instead of trying to make an event / story-heavy, but instead to focus on the human spirit and a good time.
